The appointment
USCIS schedules biometrics collection at an Application Support Center for many application types. Fingerprints, a photograph, and a signature are collected and used for background and security checks.
Bring the appointment notice and valid photo identification. Follow the instructions on your notice regarding what may be brought into the facility.
If you cannot attend
Your notice explains how to request rescheduling. Requests should be made before the scheduled date whenever possible. Failing to appear without following the stated procedure can result in an application being considered abandoned.
